Buttons
This page will focus on giving you prime examples of how you can use buttons to help users navigate through your Foleon doc.
The button element is a versatile and user-friendly tool designed to enhance navigation within your Foleon document.
With this feature, users can easily access different sections or external websites, providing a seamless and interactive reading experience. By adding buttons strategically throughout your document, you can guide readers to specific pages, specific parts of pages, or encourage them to explore additional content by redirecting users to an overlay, for example.
You also have the option to use custom buttons
You can employ custom buttons to redirect users to overlays or to an external URL. As an example, consider the following case where we have utilized a custom button featuring an animated GIF to direct users to our Foleon website. It's important to note that custom buttons are not native Foleon features, but they can be created using external software and then uploaded as images within Foleon.
Adding additional animation to native buttons can help draw subtle attention as well.
You can also link buttons to the following places:

Block
You can link a button to a specific block within your document by selecting the block you want to link it to in the button's settings.

Document
You can link a button to a specific document by selecting the doc you want to link in the button's settings (you need to upload the doc in the media library).

Cookie consent
You can link a button to a cookie consent by selecting the 'cookie consent' option in the button's settings (you need to enable it in the doc settings first)

Advanced linking
You can link a button to an external email address selecting the option 'external url' and then adding 'mailto:' followed by the email address

Previous/next page
This option points to the page that comes before/after the current one. This way, you don’t have to manually update links if you reorder or add new pages.

Close overlay
This option is available only in overlays. It automatically returns readers to the page they came from, so you don’t need to manually create a link back.

Personalised URL
This token lets you personalize where a button leads. For instance, a “Contact Us” button can automatically link to the right contact based on your audience.

These are only some examples of using the button feature in Foleon. It is a versatile and user-friendly tool for enhancing navigation within your Foleon Doc. Once you start playing with styling and options, a world of possibilities will open up!
